Home staging is used to maximise the sale potential of a property when bringing it onto the open market. Often, a property will sit on the market without attracting any interest when, in fact, all that is needed is a few simple changes to the decor or presentation of the property.

In the current climate a property needs to be presented well to sell. This is not to say that your property is not special, usually it’s just because having lived in the property for some time you have made this property ‘your’ property and it needs to be stripped down a little bit for others to imagine it as their home. Having previous experience in estate agency I understand what potential buyers see when viewing a property and what they are looking for. With my interior design skills I can suggest simple changes that will assist you in selling your property quickly. Some properties may just require a little updating with a lick of paint and some new soft furnishings. Some new curtains and fresh bedding can make a wealth of difference. Of course, a declutter is often a good idea too!

What to Expect from a Home Staging Consultation

I will attend your property and advise on any changes that I feel are necessary to produce a sale, this will include looking at your agent’s sales particulars to ensure they are portraying your property well. Being a qualified Feng Shui consultant I also incorporate a mini Feng Shui survey into a home staging consultation, enabling me to ensure that everything is well balanced and colour schemes do not interfere with any negative energies. A full written report on all my recommendations will be provided.
